About the project
Everyone's Story: The book conveys that the discrimination present during the pandemic is not someone else’s issue, but a story that belongs to all of us.
The cover features a non-specific human face, expanding the subject of the book's title, Hold Your Breath, from an individual to "us."
By combining the symbol of a quotation mark (')—which expresses thought—with the lettering of the book title, the design visualizes the struggles of workers facing hardship after the pandemic.
Using the book title's lettering, the quotation mark, and additional text elements, the design expresses the impression of an unspecified individual wearing a mask.
This project was carried out as part of a practical project, with responsibilities including planning, design, and final production.

1. 모두의 이야기: 펜데믹 속 존재하는 차별이 남의 이야기가 아닌 우리 모두의 이야기임을 전달합니다.
2. 책 표지에 특정되지 않는 인상의 사람 얼굴을 형상화하여 책의 제목인 "숨을 참다"의 주체를 타인이 아닌 "우리"로 확장합니다.
3. 생각을 표현하는 기호인 작은따옴표(',')와 책 제목의 레터링을 조합해 코로나 이후 어려움을 겪는 노동자의 이미지를 시각화합니다.
4. 책 제목과 작은따옴표의 레터링, 부가적인 텍스트 요소들을 활용하여 마스크를 쓴 불특정 누군가의 인상을 표현합니다.
일상의 실천에서 진행한 작업으로, 기획부터 디자인, 최종 발주까지 담당하였습니다.
